IZOD Impact

Purpose: This test method is used to determine the Izod impact resistance of a solid polymer from a pendulum swing.

Basic Description: A notched test specimen is clamped into impact machine.  The pendulum is then released and the energy is recorded.

Limitations: 23 J maximum potential energy
