Unnotched Izod Impact

Purpose: This test method is used to determine a unnotched impact resistance from a pendulum swing.

Sample: 2.5 x 0.5 x 0.125 inches minimum thickness

Basic Description: An unnotched test specimen is clamped into an impact machine. The pendulum is then released and the energy is recorded and the impact strength is calculated.
