Flexural Strength and Elongation by 4-Point Bending
Purpose: This test method is used to determine the flexural strength and flexural modulus of a rigid plastic materials by 4-point bending.
Sample: Flexural bars, rectangular bars

Basic Description: The test specimen is measured and placed bar across two supports spans (1/3 or 1/2 support span) and pushing down in the middle until it breaks or bends a specified distance. The flexural strength and modulus are measure and reported.
Limitations: Very large samples requiring support spans of more than 16 inches.
