Abrasion Resistance of Organic Coatings

Purpose: This method is used to determine the abrasion resistance of organic coatings by Taber Abraser.

Sample: 4 x 4 x 0.125 inches

Basic Description: The initial weight is measured.  The test specimen is then placed on the Taber abrasion tester at a fixed load and number of cycles. The weight is then measured once the testing is done.  The weight loss per cycle calculated.  

Limitations: Rigid materials only
