Coating Adhesion by Pressure Sensitive Tape

Purpose: This test method is used to determine the adhesion of coating by pressure sensitive tape.

Sample: Polymer coating on metal substrate

Basic Description: The coated panel is scribed with a knife or sharp blade.  The tape is pressed onto the scribed area and pulled.  Coating adhesion is evaluated.

Limitations: Flat coated panels
