ASTM D150
Permittivity (Dielectric Constant), Dissipation Factor
Purpose: This test is used to determine the permittivity (dielectric constant) and dissipation factor of insulating materials.
Sample: Flat plaques, 3 x 4 x 0.30 inches maximum thickness
Price & Delivery: Contact us for a quote.
Basic Description: The flat plaque is placed between 2 metal electrodes and the capacitance is measured. The test is then repeated with just in air. The dielectric constant is the ratio of these two values.
Test Frequency: We can do the test from 60 Hz to 1 MHz. The most common frequencies are 60 Hz, 1 kHz, -or- 1 MHz
