Tensile Weld Strength
Purpose: This test method is used to determine the joint strength of weldable thermoplastic materials.
Sample: 10 x 1 inches (control or welded)

Basic Description: The specimen (control or welded) is placed between two grips and pulled in tension direction at 2 in/min until failure. The tensile weld strength is calculated. This number is then compared to the control (unwelded)
